PERFORMANCE: Western Sussex Hospitals Trust said it had recently had problems with call handling in its fracture clinic.

Trust documents said: “The board noted that there had recently been some challenges in respect of complaints about call handling in the fracture clinic. This had been addressed appropriately.”

The board papers added: “It had been noted at the board’s meeting in August 2012 that there was an increase in complaints about maternity care, which was unusual.

“The complaints had been analysed and the issues addressed appropriately.”
