STRUCTURE: Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust is to carry out “significant refurbishments” to its maxillofacial unit and fracture clinic.
Papers for the trusts’ February board meeting state that £382,000 is being invested in the maxillo-facial unit, including the orthodontic surgeries, at Worthing Hospital, which will take around 10 weeks.
“Once completed, the new surgeries will be fitted with state-of-the-art equipment allowing us to provide the highest quality care in an environment which matches the standard found in the main hospital,” the papers note.
In addition, the papers note that the fracture clinic at St Richard’s Hospital is being “upgraded and reconfigured” in March. The work is expected to take one month.
