STRUCTURE: Weston Area Health Trust has reorganised its management structure from three divisions into two.
Previously the trust, which has a turnover of less than £100m, was organised into emergency care, planned care and clinical services. In the new structure the trust will be organised into two divisions: planned care and urgent and emegrency care. Each division will be headed by a clinical director supported by a divisional manager and a divisional head of nursing.
A report to the board said: “Given the size of the Trust and its clinical units there is potential to reconfigure management arrangements to bring together clinical areas that complement natural care pathways where possible.”
