PERFORMANCE: A report to the board of Whittington Health Trust said: “Emergency department performance against the four-hour target is causing
concern.”
It said: “In September, 93.8 per cent of patients waited less than four hours against a target of 95 per cent. The year to date performance is 94.9 per cent. To recover, average performance in quarter three must be at least 94.97 per cent.
“The recovery plan involves increased ward rounds to ensure timely discharge and the development of a standard operating procedure for the allocation of medical staff and queue management within the emergency in the evenings.”
