PERFORMANCE: Due to continued poor performance against A&E targets, Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust is to divert some patients from its Worcester Royal Hospital site to its Alexandra Hospital site.
According to a strategic health authority performance report for November, the trust, PCT cluster and West Midlands Ambulance Service have agreed to a redesign of patient flow to reduce pressure on Worcester Royal.
There will also be additional bed changes across the Worcester Royal site to improve patient flow through the hospital.
Actions will be in place from the start of November.
