STRUCTURE: A public meeting has been held in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire over plans to reconfigure acute services in the county.
The meeting on Friday was organised by the Save The Alex campaign which fears plans by the Worcester Acute Hospitals Trust could see the closure or downgrade of the Alexandra Hospital, in Redditch.
A public rally held in Redditch last month attracted more than 1,500 people.
Eamonn Kelly, chief executive of NHS Worcestershire and Penny Venables, chief executive of the trust, were due to attend the meeting.
The trust, which runs the Worcester Royal and Kidderminster hospitals, must plug a £50 million shortfall and has launched the review of services at all three hospitals to find a way forward.
