An NHS efficiency company has appointed a new managing director.
Erika Bannerman will take over the reins at NHS Shared Business Services, following the departure of David Morris.
NHS SBS provides procurement, finance, employment and technology services for around 40 per cent of all NHS trusts.
The company, which has 1,500 employees, is a joint venture between the Department of Health and Social Care and consultancy firm Sopra Steria.
Ms Bannerman has previously held senior leadership roles with Capita and the Manpower Group.
Outgoing managing director David Morris has been named chief executive officer of Shared Services Connected Ltd, which is a joint venture between Sopra Steria and the Cabinet Office.
