PERFORMANCE: The foundation trust had cleared its backlog of patients waiting more than a year for treatment by mid-June, latest commissioner board papers show.

According to NHS Greater Manchester’s latest performance report, WWL had no patients who had been waiting more than 52 weeks for treatment at 16 June 2012, down from 33 in March.

While all the Manchester trusts that had a backlog of long-waiters in March had seen improvement, WWL was the only one now rated “green” against this performance indicator, the report noted.
