PERFORMANCE: Yeovil District Hospital Trust was fined a total of £32,200 in the financial year 2013-14 due to missed ambulance handover targets, board papers show.
While the trust achieved its 98 per cent target to transfer patients brought to the hospital by ambulance within 30 minutes for eleven months running, it experienced a spike in breaches in April 2013, costing it £16,800.
During the previous financial year the trust was fined £34,080. Imposed fines have varied each year but have always been based on breaching a 30-minute target.
