Jane Collins introduces the new Marie Curie commissioning channel on hsj.co.uk

At Marie Curie Cancer Care, we work in partnership with commissioners and providers to deliver quality end of life care, tailored to local needs.

Our patients have significantly less need for hospital care, are more likely to be able to die at home and overwhelmingly report an outstanding level of care.

Through our work across the UK, we understand the different needs of individual health economies. We work with local NHS and independent providers to integrate a range of high quality services that meet the needs of specific communities − from isolated rural populations to major cities.

We want to work in partnership with clinical commissioners and those who plan end of life services to deliver the best possible care for patients, allowing people to die in the place they choose − most often, in their own homes.

We know from experience that we can do that while also helping commissioners control their overall service costs and getting the best value for money.

We hope you enjoy the insights for commissioners within the Marie Curie commissioning channel.
