Milton Keynes ended financial year with £8.8m deficit

FINANCE: Milton Keynes Hospital Foundation Trust ended the 2012-13 financial year with a £8.8m deficit, the Monitor consolidated accounts for the year reveal.

The report to the foundation trust regulator said the tryst had been in significant breach of the terms of its authorisation since March 2010 and that it recorded a deficit of £8.8m at the end of 2012-13.

It said: “The trust recognises a significant risk to delivery of required efficiencies from 2014-15 without structural change through a merger, joint working or other reconfiguration options.”
