I wholeheartedly agree with Roger Kline's scepticism on this.

For Jeremy Hunt to realise his declared ambition "to break down the barriers between private and public provision, in effect denationalising the provision of health care in Britain.” (Direct Democracy: An Agenda for a New Model Party, 2005) - he no longer needs to hold a candle for the private sector. All he needs to do is to sit back and let Cameron and Lansley's reorganisation do its work.
