FINANCE: Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital FT says it plans to make a surplus of £7.3m in the financial year 2013-14, more than double its surplus last year.

The targets are set out in its forward plan strategy for the next three years, which was submitted to Monitor in April.

The document shows that the FT expects to make a smaller surplus, £2.1m, at the end of the current year than it did in 2010-11, when it achieved £3.3m.

However, it expects to bounce back in 2012-13 with a surplus of £5.3m, growing to £7.3m in 2013-14.
