WORKFORCE: Thirty staff in the Berkshire primary care trust cluster had notice served of redundancy at the end of December.

Letters went out to a “at risk staff” last month. Out of 387 staff, 309 had posts confirmed in the new NHS structure, while another ten were waiting for confirmation.

January board papers said 23 staff “have been displaced from competitive selection process and/or no destination confirmed to match to”, while another 30 “had notice served for contractual / statutory requirements.

Five were leaving “due to natural attrition”, and ten were “fixed term contractors” not part of the transition process.

Two finance staff were expected to be made redundant, down from eight originally expected.
