WORKFORCE: A nurse at the trust has become president of the union Unison.
It was announced on 27 June that Eleanor Smith, a theatre nurse, had been elected president of Unison, becoming the first black woman to hold the office.
Ms Smith trained at George Eliot Hospital.
As Unison president, she said she planned to focus on tackling inequality in the workplace and promoting fairer access to public services.
