FINANCE: The primary care trust had achieved 90 per cent of its planned £6.3m quality, innovation, productivity and prevention (QIPP) savings just four months into the financial year, board papers state.

The NHS Lancashire PCT cluster’s latest QIPP report shows that at that point BwD had already “banked” £5.7m of the savings it needs in 2011-12. The PCT is forecast to achieve a further £0.9m of savings this year.
