It’s the Friday before the Oscars which can only mean one thing: another moving picture from those prolific film makers at Richmond House.

Last week we were treated to a film about any qualified provider. This week health minister Anna Soubry shows off the skills which once landed her a gig presenting Granada TV’s This Morning programme. Ah, those halcyon days of breakfast TV…

“Good morning, my name’s Anna Soubry… I’m sorry that I can’t be with you today,” she says by way of introduction.

That’s OK Anna, we weren’t expecting you to pop round for a cup of tea and a natter this morning but apology accepted all the same.

The minister goes on to discuss the importance of improving care and outcomes for people with respiratory disease.

The film was first screened at the Better Value, Better Outcomes national respiratory learning event, the aspirations of which are undoubtedly laudable.

Ms Soubry evidently couldn’t make in person, so, taking a leaf from her showbiz counterparts, taped her speech in a bid to avoid the wholesale disappointment of a complete no show.

Sort of like Adele at the Brit Awards earlier this month, End Game likes to think.
