FINANCE: Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust predicted in February that it would end the financial year with a surplus.

According to a board papers on in year financial performance for January, which were presented in early February, the “month 10 finance report continues to forecast our year-end position as £2.9m surplus”.

“It was noted that only £25m of the £31m CIPs delivery in this year was recurrent, therefore contributing to future years,” the papers cautioned.
