WORKFORCE: The Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire primary care trust cluster has appointed non-executive directors to its single board.
Graham Nix, Kathryn Headdon, Dr Paul Phillips, Tara Mistry, Tim Anderson, Melanie Gibbs and David Harwood have all accepted invitations to serve as board members until PCTs are abolished next April.
Stephen Harrison, the chair of the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire board, said: “Across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire we face many challenges over the coming months. The board plays a pivotal role in guiding the activities of the NHS as well as providing leadership, expertise and a wealth of experience.
“These new appointments strengthen an excellent team and we will continue to work together to change and improve the lives of patients in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
“I would also like to thank the non-executive directors who have not moved to the cluster board for their excellent contribution to the communities of Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.”
Three of the board members were previously on the board of NHS North Somerset, two were on NHS Bristol and two were on NHS South Gloucestershire.
