FINANCE: Berkshire West PCT has reported that it is still working to close a £4m financial gap to agree its contract with Royal Berkshire Foundation Trust.

Interim chief executive Helen Mackenzie’s report to the PCT’s March board meeting said: “The final quarter of each financial year is always very busy and this year is no exception.

“Contract negotiations continue with the Royal Berkshire Hospital with [director of finance, contracts and information] Nigel Foster and [director of commissioning and system reform] Cathy Winfield meeting twice a week with their equivalents to try and close the financial gap of approximately £4m.”
