FINANCE: Buckinghamshire commissioners will have to find £2m to plug a gap in its savings plan after providers refused to accept changes to payment by results.
Primary care trust cluster board papers said: “£1,933k of savings within the ‘right care’ savings total were predicated on agreement of contract rules and impact of payment by results changes; not all contract rules were accepted following contract negotiation.
“In 2012/13 this has been mitigated non-recurrently within contracts but represents a risk to 2013/14.”
