PERFORMANCE: The health system in the NHS Oxfordshire area has been judged as failing by South Central SHA.
In addition to the PCT, the health system includes Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and Oxford Learning Disability Trust, also known as the Ridgeway Partnership.
Principal concerns are around four hour performance in A&E, 18 weeks referral to treatment, delayed transfers of care and quality.
A remedial action plan submitted by the system has been approved and monthly assurance meetings will continue to take place to ensure improved performance.
Southampton, including NHS Southampton City PCT and Winchester and Eastleigh Healthcare Trust, and Hampshire, including NHS Hampshire and Southampton University Hospitals Trust, are also judged to be failing by the SHA.
