FINANCE: Eastern Cheshire clinical commissioning group was forecasting a 2011-12 overspend of £1.3m at the end of December, its latest finance report shows.

Eastern Cheshire, which was £947,000 overspent at that point in the financial year, is the largest CCG on the primary care trust’s patch, with 22 GP practices and a current allocation of £244.5m.

However, the forecast overspend was offset by underspends forecast by Vale Royal and South Cheshire CCGs, of £4.1m and £3m respectively.
