FINANCE: The foundation trust will over-perform on its £126.8m contract with NHS Manchester by £2.5m, the primary care trust forecasts.

The commissioner anticipates a £1.064m over-spend on non-elective procedures with the foundation in 2010-11, £1.022m on elective procedures, and £433,000 on outpatients.

A report attached to NHS Manchester’s latest finance report attributes £1.847m of the forecast overspend to demand growth above its original assumptions, and £672,000 to “non-delivery of demand management” measures.
