FINANCE: There is a “significant overspend” in unplanned care at Chesterfield Royal Hospital Foundation Trust of £945,000.

This includes a credit of £695,000 for the non-elective threshold; however this is alleviated by the underperformance in planned care of £968,000. The main movement is within A&E, which has seen a £61,000 increase in month

Chesterfield Royal Hospital’s forecast out turn remains constant at breakeven.

The actual activity at 30 November is now over performing at £296,000 although the contract is expected to break even by year end as the reduction in referrals continues.
