The debate explored how the NHS might reduce the isolation of inpatients during this time of pandemic, thereby improving patient experience and potentially longer term outcomes

Amarjit Kaur, head of patient experience and involvement at Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust, and Catherine Dale, programme director – patient safety and experience at Health Innovation Network (the AHSN for South London), were among the panellists for an HSJ webinar.

The debate, which was held in association with WiFi SPARK and chaired by HSJ contributor Claire Read, explored how the NHS might reduce the isolation of inpatients during this time of pandemic, thereby improving patient experience and potentially longer term outcomes.

A key theme was possible applications of technology, and so completing the panel was Mike Bone, chief information officer at West Suffolk Foundation Trust, and Matt O’Donovan, founder and chief executive of WiFi SPARK.
