WORKFORCE: The foundation has forecast that it will reduce its workforce by an estimated 189.51 whole time equivalent posts by 2013-14, its newly published three year plan shows.

“The [foundation’s] workforce strategy recognises that improved productivity and efficiencies and a potential reduced demand for some services will result in a smaller workforce and smaller pay bill reflecting available resources and patient care needs,” the plan states.

It forecasts that workforce numbers, at 3,031.84wte on 1 April 2011, will rise to 3,036.8 in 2011-12, then fall to 2,931.33 in 2012-13, and 2,842.33 in 2013-14.
