FINANCE: NHS County Durham & Darlington achieved 109 per cent of its planned QIPP savings target for 2011-12.

The PCT cluster planned to save £62.9m but in fact made £68.3m, according to an NHS North of England board paper. It was the largest percentage achievement of all the region’s PCT clusters.

However, it has only delivered 30 per cent of its total four-year QIPP savings requirement of £224.2m. In contrast, NHS North of Tyne has already achieved 35 per cent of the total requirement.
