STRUCTURE: Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust is planning to integrate its children’s physiotherapy an occupational therapy services.

Board papers for June say: “The overall aim of the service redesign is to provide an integrated, cost-effective physiotherapy and occupational therapy service.

“This is because there is a significant overlap of the children that both services might see.”

Key areas of work have included:

Developing a joint structure, merging administration and clerical teams with a “full revision and re-allocation of jobs per banding”, reviewing assistant roles, and the “establishment of a portfolio of clinical pathways… utilising both joint clinical pathways and single delivery options, where appropriate”.
