PERFORMANCE: A south London trust has highlighted a problem with one of the A&E activity measures.

Croydon Health Service Trust was 0.65 per cent over the 5 per cent threshold for patients who left A&E without being seen but put much of this down to repeat visitors.

A report to the trust’s board said: “[There are] a number of repeat attenders who fail to wait for treatment (a single patient attended but did not wait 26 times in August alone).”
