So praise be to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals Foundation Trust for righting this historic wrong in its annual accounts for 2012-13.

“The trust introduced a voluntary severance scheme as well as disestablishing a number of posts,” the document informs its already gripped readers.

The use of the word “disestablish” brought back End Game’s memories of being taught about the severing of links between the Church of England and the state during the 18th Century.

End Game is unsure what this has got to do with a foundation trust’s staffing levels but is at least relieved to hear the trust isn’t cutting any jobs.
