PERFORMANCE: Recent board papers for Doncaster CCG warn of falling A&E four hour waiting time target performance at Doncaster & Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in March.

It says that the cumulative position for quarter 4 and for the year remained below target at 91.22% and 93.84% respectively. Performance for April 2013 was 91.21%.

It states the CCG has held a number of weekly meetings with senior managers at the trust  with a focus on:

• Developing a shared understanding of the key issues and causative factors affecting A&E, 18 weeks and C-Diff; • Agreeing immediate and short term actions; and • Understanding the response from Monitor regarding 2012/13 performance and the recovery trajectory agreed.

The papers say that the CCG “expects to agree a more detailed trajectory with the trust in order to support performance management of delivery during this period.”
