FINANCE: East Kent Hospitals aims to make a surplus in excess of £10m in the financial year 2012-2013.

The aim is set out in the FT’s forward plan strategy for the next three years, which was submitted to Monitor in April. 

The FT made a surplus of £8.9m in 2010-11 and plans to follow that up this year with a surplus of £8m, according to the three year plan. It then plans to make a surplus of £10.5m in 2012-13 and £8.8 in 2013-14.
