FINANCE: East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust was predicting in January that it would meet its £30m savings target by the end of the current financial year.

According to board papers £25.2m of savings have been delivered to the end of January, which is £0.9m better than plan.

“For the whole year, £30.1m of 2012-13 schemes are agreed and being implemented, and plans worth another £1.1m are presently being finalized,” the papers added.

“The forecast is that the £30m target will be achieved in full.”
