PERFORMANCE: More than 200 serious incidents were still under investigation in Surrey in early March – as NHS Surrey prepared to hand over to CCGs. They range from pressure ulcers to suicides and unexpected deaths.

123 of these were overdue with Surrey and Borders Partnership Trust having 60 open cases of which 42 were overdue. A report to NHS Surrey’s board said it had plans to reduce this and would be monitored by Northeast Surrey and Farnham CCG when the PCT ceases to exist. Nursing homes in the area had 22 serious incidents open of which 17 were overdue.
