The HSJ Clinical Policy Series of one-day forums allow attendees to translate the national perspective into their own work locally. Each forum is focused on a specific clinical priority: mental health, cardiology, diabetes, respiratory and cancer.
Through debates and discussions, presentations and case studies; each forum provides attendees with practical solutions and ideas to achieve national aims at a local level

support clinicians and local leaders to further
achieve the goals set out in the NHS Long
Term Plan. Key themes include early detection,
preventative treatments and cardiac rehabilitation.

Bringing together core stakeholders from across
the cancer community to discuss current
challenges, exciting innovations and groundbreaking
projects within the sector. Key themes
include workforce, approaches to RDCs, and
new treatment and technology
13 October 2020
The inaugural forum will bring together the entire
diabetes community to share practical solutions
to achieving national priorities, including
type 2 prevention, improving access to
diabetes professionals, and increasing use
of digital to improve care.
24 November 2020
The launch forum will focus on delivering national priorities including
patient access to testing, appropriate medication and expanding
rehabilitation services.
13 May 2021
This forum will focus on national commitments on mental health and help local leaders to implement strategic and practical changes to services. Key themes include treatment of people suffering severe mental illness, community development, and expanding specialist services.
