FINANCE: George Eliot Trust reported a £35,000 surplus for the final month of 2011-12, bringing its total for the year up to £45,000.
This was £1.2m worse than budgeted, and was despite healthcare income £1.97m above budget.
The trust’s contract with Warwickshire Primary Care Trust over-performed by £2.6m, and the PCT provided £1.6m support. The contract with Leicester County and Rutland PCT underperformed by £1.7m.
In March, the trust’s spending was 2.5 per cent over budget for pay, and 4.3 per cent over budget for non-pay costs.
The trust fell £2.22m short of its cost improvement plan target.
