FINANCE: George Eliot Hospital Trust has received £5m in support funding for the year.
The trust’s deficit in the year to January, after £4.16m of the funding had been released, was 0.7m.
This was despite healthcare income being £3.8m over plan in the year to date.
George Eliot’s year to date £5.38m cost improvement plan fell short by £540,000. However the trust is still expected to hit its year end £6.8m target.
As a result, the cumulative deficit to the end of January was £712,000 - £631,000 worse than planned.
