PERFORMANCE: Gloucestershire Care Services Trust has said it needs to improve its services for people with mobility issues, hearing loss, sight loss and communication difficulties.

There were particular problems with reception areas and telephone systems, which are not sufficiently equipped to help people with such difficulties, its annual equality and diversity report said.

The authors found that it had a good record for helping Gyspy and traveller communities, transgender people and homeless people.

Very high levels of satisfaction were recorded regarding the trust’s services overall – with 97 per cent of 14,000 people surveyed saying they would recommend the trust as providers of good care.
