WORKFORCE: The South West Specialist Commissioing Group has agreed to reduce management costs by 17.7 per cent over the next three years.
This means a target of £467K in a minimum cumulative profile of £121K for 2010/11, £313K by the end of 2011/12 and £467K by year three. It was confirmed that the target for 2010/11 would be achieved through vacancy freezes and the planned move of premises in Bristol being halted with alternative interim solutions being implemented.
Savings will be returned to PCTs, including NHS Gloucestershire, in proportion to the allocation of the management budget.
