PERFORMANCE: Great Western Hospitals Foundation Trust scored was among the 20 per cent of highest scoring trusts when cancer patients were asked whether doctors had talked in front of them as if they were not there.
In total 86 per cent of the 375 patients surveyed as part of the National Cancer Patient Experience Survey for 2011-12 felt doctors had not talked in front of them inappropriately.
However, only 59 per cent felt their family had had enough opportunities to talk to the doctor and just 80 per cent had confidence in all dpctors treating them, putting the trust in the lowest 20 per cent nationally on both measures.
Overall 89 per cent of patients rated their NHS care as excellent or very good.
