WORKFORCE: Staff sickness rates continue to be a concern for Greater Manchester West Mental Health Foundation Trust.

The trust had a target of no more than 5.75 per cent of staff being off sick on a rolling rate in 2012-13, but missed that in every month except April and May.

For the last quarter of the year, the sickness rate was 5.91 per cent, the board heard. 

The in month actual rate was slightly better for March and was below target for the first time since September at 5.73
