FINANCE: Hartlepool and Stockton-on-Tees PCTs were expecting £100,000 and £400,000 total underspends respectively for 2010-11, in spite of large acute overspends.

The two are holding joint board meetings, as a North Tees PCT cluster. The projections were made at the beginning of March.

In Stockton, there was an expected overspend of £9.5m on hospital and community services; and in Hartlepool this was £5.4m.

These overspends were offset by underspending in admin, released contingency funds; and primary care through quality and enhanced services payments.
