FINANCE: Heart of England Foundation Trust has overperformed on its contract with NHS Solihull by nearly £1m already in 2011-12.
Of its £952,000 overperformance at month two, £600,000 relates to activity growth. The biggest areas is emergency inpatient care.
NHS Solihull has challenged £400,00 of contractual activity related to pricing errors on short stay maternity activity, emergency re-admissions and procedures of Low Clinical Value.
NHS Solihull board papers state: “It is anticipated that the PCT will be successful in these challenges.”
