Health Service Journal editor Alastair McLellan and senior correspondent Dave West have both featured on BBC programmes this week as NHS issues make the headlines across the country.

BBC Radio Four programme The Report called on Alastair McLellan during its look at what the reforms mean for everyday patients, among a number of other high profile interviewees including David Kerr and Paul Corrigan.

Separately, Dave West was interviewed by BBC Look North on the financial troubles facing Mid Yorkshire Hospitals Trust, which is currently predicting an end of year deficit of nearly £20m.

This follows national television coverage of HSJ’s unprecedented joint editorial in January, alongside Nursing Times and British Medical Journal, on the upheaval the poor communication of the Health Bill has caused.
