The British Medical Association has launched a survey of staff grade and associate specialist doctors on new contract proposals.

In August negotiators representing the doctors formally withdrew from further talks with the government over their stalled contract (HSJ, news, 30 August).

The preliminary results from survey will be discussed at a special conference of SAS doctors on Monday, November 5.

Mr Mohib Khan, co-chairman of the BMA’s SAS committee said: 'We have had enough of broken promises and protracted delays.'
