The Department of Health has published a guide aimed at cutting coronary heart disease in the South Asian community.

South Asians living in the UK are 50 per cent more likely to suffer from the condition than the population as a whole. The guide has been developed with the British Heart Foundation.

National director for heart disease Dr Roger Boyle said: 'This guide enables us to share the best ideas across the country.'
