Nurses on acute wards for older people with dementia, delirium or depression will be interested in the new Care Services Improvement Partnership toolkit on respect

Let's Respect is a toolkit to help nurses on acute general hospital wards respond to the needs of older people who have dementia, delirium or depression. This joint project with the Department of Health's chief nursing officer was launched in 2006, with a pack sent to every director of nursing in acute NHS trusts inEngland.

The Care Services Improvement Partnership is currently exploring how to adapt the materials for use in residential care and nursing homes. A network to support the project has been set up. For more information, visit www.letsrespect.csip.org.uk
