A year-2 student at Ridings infant school in Leigh Park, Hampshire, gives short shrift to the offer of a garlic clove during a 'Fit to Cook' workshop run by East Hampshire primary care trust.

The scheme teaches children how to make healthy, home-cooked favourites such as vegetable soup and fruit crumble. It is part of a wider drive on school meals after Jamie Oliver's TV programme Jamie's School Dinners sparked widespread calls for action.
