An unprecedented alliance of health organisations have joined to form a unique Health Hotel to promote debate and fresh thinking at this year's party political conferences.

HSJ is a media partner for the hotel, which opens its doors at this autumn's conference season, ahead of the general election.

The forum is made up of all the major players in healthcare and health policy, including think tanks, charities and pressure groups. It will host meetings, dinners and debates at the Labour, Conservative and Liberal Democrat party conferences.

It was launched last week at the headquarters of the British Medical Association in London. Hotel members include the King's Fund, the NHS Confederation, the New Health Network, the Healthcare Commission and Unison. Among the events running are receptions for shadow ministers at the Liberal Democrat and Conservative party conferences, while at the Labour party conference the hotel will host more than 25 fringe meetings.
